Shiv Senik leader offers Rs100,000 for slapping Bollywood star Aamir Khan

Shiv-Sena-Aamir-KhanIslamabad: A leader of Indian nationalist party Shiv Sena namely Rajeev Tandon who has campaigning within the precincts of Punjab,  has offered a sum of Rs100, 000 to anyone in particular who manages to slap Bollywood actor Aamir Khan for his recent comment over the increasing intolerance in the country.

As quoted by the Times of India on Thursday, Rajeev Tandon said, “Any person who slaps Aamir Khan will be awarded Rs1,00 000 by the Shiv Sena. This is important because no one living in our country should dare to say anything against India.”

The announcement along the lines of Tandon came early after the Shiv Sena workers protested outside a five star hotel situated in Ludhiana where Aamir Khan as well as his crew had been staying during the course of the shooting of the movie. The protesters gathered outside the hotel also burnt posters bearing Aamir Khan’s picture on them, chanted slogans against him as well as disrupted the flow of traffic outside the hotel.

On Monday Aamir Khan had said during a television programme that a sense of insecurity and fear was gripping India and revealed that his wife had even questioned whether the couple should leave the country. His remarks sparked a storm of criticism including from the ruling Hindu nationalist party BJP.

“As an individual as a citizen certainly I have also been alarmed I can’t deny it by a number of incidents,” he uttered at an awards ceremony held in New Delhi.
